Rock samphire known also as sea fennel or crinthmum (kritamo) is an edible aromatic wild plant found in abundance along Greek coastline. Rock samphire is considered a speciality food full of nutrients which is sometimes and hard to source because it mainly grows to cliff rocks. This Rock samphire is pickled in glass jar and kept in brine without added preservatives, ideal to add to salads or serve as a gourmet sider to cold or hot dishes.
