Mastelo ® is the trade name of the cheese produced in Chios island, Greece. This type of Mastelo® cheese is made from local cow milk in Chios island with the traditional manufacturing process. It has semi soft texture and is white, digestive and salty. Mastelo® has high nutritional value as the maturing process help it preserve milks proteins and vitamins. It has 29% fat, 46% humidity and 1,6% salt percentage. It’s ideal for grilling as releases all its aromas and perfect to serve with honey and sesame available in 400gr pack.
